Kuimeaux on Oxford, Miss. 1939 envelope

In this video Kuimeaux (KEE-mo) discusses one of the three oldest envelopes in the Kuimeaux Project’s collection, a piece titled Oxford, Miss. 1939, which he illustrated and mailed in 1973 to a high school friend in his freshman year at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Kuimeaux notes in the video that this is how Oxford looked when its most famous resident, William Faulkner, wrote his books. But what Kuimeaux seems most interested in are iconic soft drink brands of the South, shown in vintage advertising signs.

This video was produced in 2023 from footage shot in 2015 in Kuimeaux’s apartment in Sherwood, Arkansas. It is presented in loving memory of Kuimeaux.
